Campfires and BBQ's are allowed! NEW!- Try our environmentally friendly campfire grills and try cooking your food over an open fire (now avaliable in glades). Yellow Wood Bush Camp (Welsh Border)

campfire, camp fire

you can just come and camp with tarp/hammock/tent and a fire for £5.00 each 24 hrs plus an extra charge for firewood

(we provide this so that deadwood remains for wildlife). It's £3.00 for kids. We do not allow dogs. There are basic 'bush' camping facilities, for example, compost toilets, and watering can showers. Mains water is now available on site! We would prefer you to bring smaller tents and form a grouping around a campfire, rather than have a huge family dome tent that involves locking you away from your surroundings, plus it may be difficult to enough flat space to pitch these. There are plenty of trees to hang tarps from...! Tipis are available for hire, as are canoes and bikes.

Scottish Holiday Cottages

The Woodland: The 15 acre woods to the rear of property are completely private and for the use of our guests and their visitors only. There is a great variety of terrain, a hard wide road with leaky trees and wild flowers, rustic steps leading on to a mown area, a ruin, rides cut through a meadow with all sorts of grasses and orchids, wild strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and brambles. A couple of rustic bridges over a stream which runs through ancient woodland, the remains of a sandstone quarry, also bluebells in spring. Deer, badgers, buzzards, owls & much more. Care must be taken at all times as there a couple of places where the water is deep. Children really need to be accompanied if leaving the garden.

It takes a lot of work to build & maintain this site, I don't get paid for any of this and I choose not to display adverts, I offer it all for free. However it does cost to run the site, if you'd like to help me with those costs you can do so here:
