Riverside Lakes is able to offer informal campsite facilities for Camping & Caravanning Club members. We are also able to offer camping to non-members for 28 days a year. A haven for wildlife, direct non-road access to the local footpaths, woods & meadows, Riverside provides a great setting for non-fishing partners to relax and unwind.

Blackberry Wood (Woodland / Campsite in West Sussex)

This campsite has a maximum of 20 tent pitches and camping pitches are mostly in cosy little private clearings in woodland (most glades are unsuitable for tents larger than 5m x 3m). Campfires and BBQ's are allowed! NEW!- Try our environmentally friendly campfire grills and try cooking your food over an open fire (now avaliable in glades). They have a cool website so check that out for more detailed information.

Yellow Wood Bush Camp (Welsh Border)

you can just come and camp with tarp/hammock/tent and a fire for £5.00 each 24 hrs plus an extra charge for firewood
(we provide this so that deadwood remains for wildlife). It's £3.00 for kids. We do not allow dogs. There are basic 'bush' camping facilities, for example, compost toilets, and watering can showers. Mains water is now available on site! We would prefer you to bring smaller tents and form a grouping around a campfire, rather than have a huge family dome tent that involves locking you away from your surroundings, plus it may be difficult to enough flat space to pitch these. There are plenty of trees to hang tarps from...! Tipis are available for hire, as are canoes and bikes.

The Woodland: The 15 acre woods to the rear of property are completely private and for the use of our guests and their visitors only. There is a great variety of terrain, a hard wide road with leaky trees and wild flowers, rustic steps leading on to a mown area, a ruin, rides cut through a meadow with all sorts of grasses and orchids, wild strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and brambles. A couple of rustic bridges over a stream which runs through ancient woodland, the remains of a sandstone quarry, also bluebells in spring. Deer, badgers, buzzards, owls & much more. Care must be taken at all times as there a couple of places where the water is deep. Children really need to be accompanied if leaving the garden.
