Hi guys
Just had a lovely 4 days in Norfolk at a very basic campsite situated by the river waveney lively weather and had a few trips out inthe new kayak which was eventful to say the least
Yes I got wet a couple of times but while I was there I started on my new project of starting to make a sort of campfire tent
Which is made out of a polish lavvu and 3 zeltbhans
So far I'm happy with it I've still got to finish sewing it but you get the idea here's a couple of photos of it so far 13908

Yes I can't deny it's on the heavy side not something to take backpacking but for base camp it's a good dive loads of storage and the sides just button on so can be left off if required I wanted something bigger than my 2 man tent getting to old for crawling about on my knees lol

Kind of like the idea. Much like you I tend to be looking for a bit more comfort these days when base camping so opted for a Robens Fairbanks. It gives me the bug protection I desperately need. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170618/3677a40809249b81ac6654d62732c2f4.jpg

I've got some mosquito netting to add to the front of the sleeping area luckily enough I don't seem to get bitten that much but yep like my comfort when camping
I do like the Ribena tents unfortunately my wallet won't stretch that far lol but I do think the are worth the money

Nice handy work! Justin has gone for the easier route I see lol, both look great to be honest, wouldn't mind spending the night in either.
