I figure a proper English forum would be the right place to ask, since some Gurkha are under British employ and I don't speak Nepali.
To get to the point, where does one procure a genuine Gurkha kukri? I've searched the net and I've found many sources (http://www.coldsteel.com/gurkhakukri.html), but I'd like the word straight from the horses mouth... or, in this case, the horse's rider.
:o
Thanks!

Ah, my search was for "gurkha kukri" - should have tried just searching for kukri. Opps!
Thanks for the link! Why is it so inexpensive? Even after the conversion it's still less than half the price of the Cold Steel offering.

You can get them cheaper I think I put all the links in the other thread if you have a look there. But on looking at the web it seemed dodgy getting it direct from Nepal.

No i haven't Ben, i think that a Khukuri will have to wait as i need other stuff first. I was going to get one off my misses for xmas but went for an axe instead.
I think i will get one in the future and see this site as a good place to order from as it is run by ex-Ghurkas (although i havent heard any feed back at all) - unless its someone taking liberties....You thinking of ordering one from there Ben?

Thanks for the links! http://www.khukurihouseonline.com/ looks legitimate, but I'll ask around and make sure.

In my experience http://www.khukurihouseonline.com/ is a legit operation. Despite sending from Nepal, my order arrived within 3 weeks.
Pricey due to shipping charges.

Hi all
I've used the Khukri House numerous times. I used to buy and sell them on over here and started using them about 2004. Never had aproblem with them ever and I must have brought 50 knives over using them.
They are great quality too. The only downside is the shipping costs which will almost double the price! I've also used Tora over here and also excellent quality.
