It's no good. I need a titanium plate. :ashamed:

Would it not be easier, and probably cheaper, for you to purchase a press, some formers, and a few sheets of titanium? You could produce all your kit that way :)

My camp kettle beats yours, 2 ltr capacity lol, but it isn't a kelly/storm, just a basic Hi Gear whistler
Start of the big kettle competition LOL

I could cut open an old compressor reservoir and weld a plate to the bottom, a whistle to the top and away we go, 150 ltr kettle. LOL

Here's the link to the Lidl tent - for £13 with 2000mm hydrostatic head and at only 1.5 KG you can't go wrong, might get myself one tonight.

The sleeping area is only 1.9m so you may find it a little cramped in there, as you said you were lanky lol. It would be interesting to see how much condensation build up it gets, mind you for £13 its quite cheap to find out.

I was planning to use the poles from a beach shelter with some waterproof camo tent material, to make some kind of lightweight tent.

I was going along the same sort of line with this but mainly use the poles to hold the mossi net apart till I got your other idea with the wood. Anyway I left it in the end the closet store to have them was in Stowmarket and I didnt fancy the drive ;)

My closest store is 26 miles away, otherwise I would have got one. I do have some spare fibreglass poles from an old tent if you want some for your net. can post them to you if you want, just PM your address to me on here or FB and I'll get a couple lengths sent over.

Cheers mate I went to B and Q and got some thick dowel and cut it down shaved the ends a bit and I now have two short poles in my rucksack for when I'm out :) I also got a bit of wood a inch by an inch and I'm just trying to figure out how to get a V shape in the ends with the couple of tools I have here.

I cheated and used a small saw to cut the main V, then chambered the ends with a stanley knife, as I couldn't be bothered to leave the garage to get my mora lol
