Any users recommend a waist/shoulderbag similar to the Response but a bit larger? The idea is to put together a car kit for SWMBO, but still needs to be portable. She is a small woman so want to stay away from rucksacks/bulky packs. Thanks.

Well, I've got one of these:

It's great for a day's bimble and would probably fit the bill for your missus. Not cheap admitedly but a really good bag.

I have the response pack and it is a really useful peice of kit. I know what you mean though with the limitation on space. I have been searching for something a little larger myself and came across these

but I don't think it will be of much benefit with regards to the size but the shape and style may be more beneficial from a packing point of view. The other option may be to expand the response with this type of item

Thanks Jus - im really looking for something in the budget range and the Maxeped stuff is a bit pricey for what is essentially going to be a BOB thats going to lie in the carboot in a second vehicle. Im sure some others will have some ideas as well so keep them coming all.
