I've just ordered 10m of the Traditional 50mm olive webbing (at the bottom of the page) from these guys (http://www.profabrics.co.uk/snap_product_search.php?search=true&category=Cord%20and%20Webbing%3E%3ENylon%20Webbing ) as the price seems really good. I'll let you know how the service goes.

Hey Steve,

I notice this is nylon webbing, not sure about the "stretch when wet ness" of nylon but I've always used polyester(zero stretch) or polypropolene(slight stretch but very light)

Regards,

Matt.

Hey, I wanna DIY a hammock for my grandpa. And I wonder if the webbing straps are strong enough to bear the weight. The webbing I found at here: http://www.lowyusa.com/webbing/nylon-webbing . Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Anyone thought of using old lifting strops. These you see at boot fairs and come in various sizes.
Also every now and then you can find strapping from old industrial tie-downs.
