In a few days I am going hiking in the lakes, I have tried to keep it as light as possible to save the knees. ;) Its going to be mostly hiking but with a touch of bushcraft. If you see anything I have missed please speak up as I hate forgetting stuff. This is my kit loadout. http://thesecretcamper.blogspot.com/2011/05/lightweight-backpacking-loadout.html

Looks like you've got it pretty much covered but I'd eat the chocolate bars for breakfast (instead of supper) if I were you and maybe take along some peanut butter in a tube for some extra energy. :)

Tea or coffee, sugar, milk powder ?

Taking a phone ?, leaving route cards ?

What's the total weight of the kit Kinkpin ?

@fletching- Peanut butter in a tube, is that even possible? I see what you mean about the choc bars.

Cheers Paul I nearly forgot the brew kit. There is always going to be hot water so we'll be having tea every time we cook one. I only drink grean tea when I'm out so I don't have to worry about milk and the like. Not sure about the weight of it all but I will try and weigh it before I head off. I'll be taking a phone with me, and I'll be leaving my route with my good lady.

Cheers

Andy

looks pretty well covered... those MREs are terrible value for money though... You ever considered rations? the new Multi climate one is £15 and 4500kcals... thats well over what you need to eat so it can be broken down to get more days out of it

Cheers for the link Fletching, very useful.

Right you are about the Wayfarers comanighttrain, its probably the last time I buy them. I am thinking of buying a food dehydrater and making my own lightweight ones, just got to read up a bit more about them first. I'm off to bed now as I have an early start for the lakes tommorrow, I'll be posting pics up in my blog soon.
