Tree ID, help please

Hi all, hopefully somebody may be able to help me ID this tree. It was about 20' tall rough bark and leaves like this...

used my treeID App on iPhone and this looked the nearest, although the info page reckons them all but extinct in the wild in the uk.

So I'm doubtful. I know there be some tree boffins on here who may be able to ID it.
I'm really really in need of a confirmed ID.

SonOfHood recons it's Wych elm.

i think you mite be rite ash its very close just been checking my self

looks like Elm, the leaves are bristled, ive seen Wych Elm recently in an Essex wildlife centre, i think its oly a few more feet untill the beetles find them,,,

I don't think its a wych elm, the leaf shape is all wrong.

Consulting my 'Collins Complete British Trees' book which I got from The Works a couple of years ago, it looks either like a Plot's Elm or a Cornish Elm.

Given your location RKP, I'd guess it was the latter.
