Due to not sleeping a wink last night, I have been napping this "arvo", so as I can wake at silly o'clock in the A.M. This will allow me to test my "Last Minute Dot Com Packing" regime. As for sugical precision of touch down times, I am aiming to still be taking off at zero nine hundred. I have permitted 15 minutes, stoppage time, and will be on your doorstep sometime in June....no I will be there at 12:45-12:55. Hopefully this will allow for a more moderate driving style, saving both natural resources and human life. :)

I had a look at one of them wooden horse vice things at the weekend £150 I think it was but just round the corner some one had made something the same from them sort of ladders that fold down in to a platform for standing on when decorating then they made the vice part from wood levered in the gap of the platform :)

That sounds a lot like the stuff I used, but no matter how much we hit them, they never seemed to work very well. I wanna know how they can afford all this new gear when they say they can't pay for body armour, IED proof vehicles, war pensions, and private medical treatment :confused:

still will not mean an ex squaddie will get treatment before someone else who has a higher medical priority, but instead, will be seen before someone of equal clinical priority..... if you see what i mean? :)

To be honest mate I left on the Saturday morning they didnt seem to grasp why I had a tarp and hammock or the fact I wasnt into wearing a shirt and tie :( but the journey there was good it was like going back over a road that I travelled many times as I passed Warminster. So I took some time to contmplate life in general and I have come to the conclusion I never really fit in with the Army as I was always out on my own and only went back to do what had to be done.

so I learnt a lot from going threre and looking at what the ex service guys had become and to be honest they havent changed so I have my memories from my time in but I never had to change as I never fit into the mould they tried to get me in :)

It was funny I hadnt been down them roads since 1981 and as I passed places I knew it was a bit like going back in time I will explain it better one day :) But I know what is missing in my life now so I'm going to find it :)

Not much, went out to look at some of this new site, tried something I was told too. Make a small fire and burn Oak leaves and Beech leaves, keeps the insects away with the smoke. Actually worked, was quite impressed. Soon as the smoke died down they were back with a vengeance though haha.

I think I will I just tried on a bit of wood I got yesterday for the fire here (The council allowed me to reopen the coal fire in my place :) ) so it was just a bit of stick to practise on for next year so I look like a pro at any meets I get to :D

I had my Kelly Kettle in there tonight trying to boil some water just so that the smoke and stuff would go up the chimney :) It works I just need to sort out some form of hanging a kettle or a bill can in there then I can make brews and not leave the friont room :D

I'm looking at getting one of them :) But my main thoughts at the min are how to set up a sort of awing frame thing where I can hang a kettle from then swing it in to boil then back out after would be cool :D

At the min I'm just using my kelly in the base of the fire :D

And true Adam I could hang my hammock from the tree to my fence now there is an idea for summer when I cant get away :D

Cool. You could make up a swing arm from steel angle and tee hinges. Just screw one hinge to the wall (probably easier to do it after the tiles :)) with a piece of steel angle bolted to that, then another hinge, then another piece of steel angle with a hook on it, or a cut out for the kettle/pot/billy handle.

I had a look round on the internet but didnt get far the money people want for stuff don't they know I'm a pensioner :D Anyway I got fedup and got some wood instead now I'm having a lovely sit in front of the fire :) I just need a sheepskin and a nice girl so we could get comfy in front of the fire :D
