TLC for Old swedish M39 canvas and leather pack

I bought one of these traditional packs from millitary mart. Im wondering what would be the best way of treating the leather as in some parts its starting to crack on the surface.

neatsfoot oil

I used neatsfoot on mine too, needed quite a few applications, twas dry's a boot. Also gave it some Renapur. Great pack, love mine :)

I have to say over all it isnt to bad, the shoulder straps are fine, but its all the smaller ones which are starting to crack. Im finding it quite comfortable except the metal frame rubs ma shoulder blades, soi think il rap it with some foam. Cant wait til i can use it. Thanks for the help.
