We spent 4 1/2 months preparing for our 1 month trip into the wilderness of the north cascades in WA.
We took no mordern equipment except camera and diary the rest of our stuff was ALL made by ourselves, clothes, mocassins and blankets. Bows and arrows and food foraged.
We were hunter gatherers reliving the past.

What an amazing experience to remember for the rest of your life.

I have to ask - you hear of stories where people have seperated themselves or been seperated away from modern society for a period of time and come back with a very different outlook or perspective. I know this is generally after very prolonged periods, but what are your feelings after having been through this and then back into 'civilisation'?

Looks amazing, wonder how long it takes to get "tuned in". Couldn't help noticing two different pairs of glasses!

Oooooh..! Wow..! Bushcraft in its proper raw state.. Beautiful..!
Thank you for taking a camera with you. I bet that was a big prior discussion, wether you took one or not. I am glad you did.
And its all summed up by the last sentence of that poem "We are the richest people on this Earth"
Where can we get more info on the trip..?
Thank you too for introducing me to the beautiful music of Mariee Sioux

I nearly left without saying anything because I don't have the words to describe what I'm feeling. Awe and envy and interest mixed with others I don't know. Just leaving a message to say I've been, I've looked, and I'm richer for it. Thank you. Inspired and amazed and humbled.

These folks were at the Wilderness Gathering with a stand showing what they had done and running a few hands on demos. Still in awe of it.

Talked to a couple of these people at the gathering, now seeing this just remarkable. Completely self-sufficient and away from modern convenience bloody brilliant.
This really ties in with another thread on here about living away from all the modern stuff of today and is it possible, well yes but with lots of determination and in this instance planning and preparation.
Would love to meet these people again for a longer chat.
