look very simple to make,anyone tried them?

they are siple to make sandles made from old tyres,made famouse by the Viet Cong fighters in the Viet nam war.

When I was a kid my dad and I both had sandals made of car tires............ all my life haven't seen them again, nor did I figure they were out of the ordinary. Lol

Oh MAAAAAN! Here's another idea/project I'd like to try but don't have the time to do. Great idea. I had a pair of Veldskoen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veldskoen) when I was growing up that had car tyre soles. They never wore out and I could stamp out a bush fire with them. Wish I still had them.
