I swapped a 14cm Zebra Billy for a Lauri 77 blade (cheers, Luresalive!) a while back, and weekend just gone I put a new handle on it.
The bolster and end piece are made from two 2p coins I sanded down to get rid of Liz's face. The red plastic bands are made from a spare book end I had, the two pieces of dark wood are pieces of 'hardwood' like you get from Wickes or B&Q (no idea what it is) and the two lighter pieces are Yew.
This is only the second time I've rehandled a knife and I'm dead chuffed with it!
Now the daily/weekly/monthly coatings of linseed oil start.

Wow, that has turned out magnificently, I'm very impressed. You'll soon be getting commissions for knives like that!
