Hi everybody,

I’ve been reading this site for few months now and I’ve really enjoyed the upbeat, inclusive and welcoming spirit of your forum. I felt so at home that I forgot that I hadn’t introduced myself. Apologies.

Many years ago I used to camp quite regularly but almost always in commercial sites and with conventional kit, gas stoves etc etc. I am returning to camping with the specific intention of fishing on Dartmoor so I must learn a lot of new wild-camping techniques. I’ve found your site absolutely perfect for this purpose but, more than that, it has motivated me to learn many more of the wider bushcrafty skills.

I hope I’ll get the opportunity to see some of you at meets in the near future.

Trev

Hello Trev,
me too, been semi-commercial camper for a good few years but i'm loving the back to basics simplicity of wild camping and bushcraft.
