been carving a lot of ash since we happened across a free blown down tree,this wood is green still and so is easy to carve ,still a lot to do on this one but its taking shape nicely.

Nice one Fish, looks like you've got a nice one there in the making.

I went for a walk today and came back with a nice beech branch around 3" diameter that has a bit of an 'elbow' in it which I think will make one, possibly two ladle spoons.

I've only done a bit of 'whittlin' up to now so not sure how the spoons will turn out... but as soon as I saw the branch I knew what i was going to do with it.
