I'm from Rossendale in Lancs.
Been reading through your site for a short while. It seems to have most things I'm intrested in, especially the friendliness of the contributors:)

I've always been involved in outdoor pursuits, of some description or another. My main hobby is birdwatching, but spending nights out would have a benificial impact on that.

So I'm in the process of collecting the necessary gear, hopefully be out there before too long.

Hi Sapper

I intend to camp locally, some fantastic scenery around here.
The problem is getting permission, the landowners I know are all upland farmers with very little woodland.
I have a couple of irons in the fire though:)

Roger that. I have exactly the same issues lots of friendly landowners who are afraid to let me camp because it may encourage other less responsible parties.
