When using a waterproofer in the washing machine, does the waterproofing agent go in the 'pre-wash' tray or the 'fabric conditioner' tray?
I'm guessing the latter, but just want to make sure.
Cheers.

I used to sell this stuff. It normally recommends that you wash the clothing with a non bio powder or their own special soap first, then wash it again with the proofer in it. It's not important if it goes in the soap or conditioner compartment but if you opt for the latter it will only get rinsed once. With most of these products it's also important to dry the item of clothing and then tumble dry it or steam iron on a cool setting to finish it off. It is also a good idea to tumble dry the item if it does get really wet in a shower of rain. WL Gore used to recommend a wash with non bio and a tumble dry every 3 months to keep up the performance of their breathable fabrics. Just like buying a new car it needs a regular service to keep it at its best.

Cheers, Dan.
Looks like I got it right then - washed with a little non-bio powder, waterproofer in the conditioner tray and then tumbled dry!
Thanks for your advice.
