Hi all
My name is Chris and i live in Bodmin, Cornwall, I am a member of a Early middle age Re-enactment group and the society has started running Extreme Viking challenges where we have to camp out in only Authentic gear no tents, also and what we can carry, camp over night and find the opposing group the next day and fight them them. so with these events happerning through the year i thought i better learn up on some survival techniques to reduce the weight i have to carry, im glad i found this site and be prepared to have loads of questions fired at you guys in the near future.

its a cracking site my knowledge is mostly starting a fire using flint and steel, making (and drinking) mead, smoking and drying my own food to make it last, so this site is going to be well used .
It amazes me you can live in a area for over fifteen years and not know there are the same like minded people out on the door step brilliant.
