Nice little kit you got there. Good idea on the Altoids tin, been trying to find a tobacco but think I will follow your idea.

Go to your local Sunday market. The stall selling the pot pipes and extra king size Rizlas will sell them. :)

They have to sell those only for legal substances
Although everyone knows that they will be used for getting stoned off weed.

That's why I didn't go down that root. I don't want the stupid weed symbols on my kit.

The tins in my local tobacconist come in many different colours, designs and pictures! But at around a fiver it's expensive for an empty tin!
I think the Altoids tin's a great idea!

Thanks for showing us your Fire-lighting Tin Edd. I imagine you could pack a fair bit more charcloth in there when you've got a supply. I like the look of your striker too, thinner than a lot of others so light in compaison I imagine. Great stuff.

Best place for 1oz or 2oz tins is a local pound store or haberdashery, I just bought 3 for a pound each, have some tacky plastic picture on the top that just pulls off.
Here is mine.

I should put some birch bark in it i think. I reckon i could make a tight roll of it so it was stay compact.
Awesome tin, Mike.
