I've seen this done on other forums (communities as I prefer to call them).
The idea is that you sign up to the list, and then when the time comes, someone sends you the name of the recipient of your generosity (only Santa knows who that is). Makes sense that Ash would be Santa. On Song of the Paddle, hand made items were encouraged (because they're priceless) and there was a limit of around £5 or £10 if you were buying a pressie. I see BCUK has already started one as well.
So will we have a secret santa list here on NBC? I'll start the list with my name if nobody minds me doing this. I know it's early days, but if you know how long it takes me to make anything, you'll forgive me mentioning the dreaded "C" word in October.
