There had been a strong onshore wind for around three days and true to its nature the sea had turned indeed cruel a boiling mass, nay a maelstrom of crashing white weight ,pounding and smashing the rocky bay of Berridale brea's but no let up here...oh no both night and day ...the wee pup A big fat whitey grey lump marooned on high from its aquamarine playground this was refuge from old relentless and we came upon it as the next day broke .

There was a female trying to get in to the shore ...maybe the mother but every time she beached the waves dragged her back out...the sea was much calmer the day after the pic was taken .

The small white seal pup is only a few weeks at most ...I was there a few weeks ago and there were no pups on the beach.
As for the others I dont know .
