RSPB 8X32 Puffin Binoculars. I paid a visit to my local RSPB reserve the other day. There where a range of binoculars to try. I compared all the 8x32 binoculars against my own Minox 8x32. The results where amazing. The 8x32 ED's where priced at £459 and where overpriced in my opinion. Non really stood out till the guy said, try these. He then asked me how much I thought they cost. I reckoned on about £300 compared to the ED's at £459 they where less bright but still very good. When he said £49 I was amazed. Apparently they are now the best seller at the reserve.
If you are in the market for some budget binoculars, try them out. For the price they are superb.

Seems a bargain Woodwose. The RSPB are often expensive for optical equipment. They usually sell known makes with the RSPB logo attached, never the cheapest option.
Looks like they have come up with a winning combination here, I'll check them out next time I'm at Leighton Moss.
Thanks for the heads up.

I went to the Hawk Conservancy in Hants this summer and they were selling Swarovski optics binos in the gift shop. I think I've blanked the price from my memory to protect my wallet from PTSD but they were shocking. These look a real bargain.
