View Full Version : Intended to make a tool handle but....

He wanted to come out so took pretty much the dark red heart wood from a chunk of apple starting a small spoon not sure if it's gonna be a soup spoon or a coffee spoon as of yet might just have it be my first eating spoon. The pics don't do the color justice it's a lot darker of a red. Yeah I know I got a bunch of spoons going figure get some good rough outs till I get my hook knife in :D

Good start just remember to keep the leather strop handy working with apple,LoL

Yeah found that out been running the blade over it maybe every 20 minutes. Worked on it for bout an hour before my hands gave out :D

Birch is one of my favorite woods though not a lot of it around here. Got a buddy on another site he told me anytime I need any let him know LOL :D

Lovely spoons what kinda knives are those?

There Mora blanks off Ronnie sunshine about £13 each 1 Buffao horn the other is oak flooring LoL:jumping-joy:

toying to take a piece of apple now and shape a knife handle out of it. Using my 840 handle as the template wanna do it up to take a Mora classic 3 the big boy
