What is your Favorite Mora Knife? Mine is the Mora Clipper Carbon Steel.

I've only ever had one Mora which I was given on a Woodsmoke course back in 2000, I managed to snap it a few weeks later and never bothered to replace it. If I had to have another I'd like to try the 2000 stainless model.

Battoning a piece of pine about 2"x3", I was surprised to say the least.
The blade broke clean off just where it goes into the handle

I have a clipper and have only ever had a clipper. I battoned through a piece of birch and a few other unknown logs today with it, slightly rolled edge nothing major.
Sharpens up well, really good knife.

I have the 804MG clipper on recommendation from Justin in this NBC video:

It's the only knife I've had besides a few SAKs and multitools. I can't see what the more expensive knives would give me that this knife doesn't. Though the one thing I would like is a thicker blade so that pushing the blade when carving would be less uncomfortable and battoning wouldn't damage the "mallet" so much.

An awful lot of threads coming about lately mentioning the Mora..it's not surprising!..The best of the bunch is without doubt the 510..unparalleled for capability!

I like the mora clipper for everyday camp use and the 120 for carving projects. I have had a few other knife's and a couple of custom made knifes but I always find myself drawn back to the trusty mora.

Hard to pick my favourite Mora, I've got a few I love. My first mora is one of my favourites, I think it's a Frosts Mora 740...

I've never had a Mora snap on me before. :confused2:
I would say the Mora that I am using most frequently these days is the Frosts Mora Carving knive just for whittling.

They all seem to be more than fine to me, but if I had to pick one it would be the 510, it's a helluva lot of knife in a small package - IF you can find one. Woodlore are selling some at present but apparently they are the last of them, very sad indeed, so I got 2!

Vote for the 840 Clipper. Better grip than the 740 IMO.
