Well doing up a bigger project starting my first Kuksa. making from maple total hand tools mainly my axe bow saw and the 2 knives of choice 840 mg ad my Mora hook
I will be posting pics here to as I go

Only started it today I think not more than an hour so far didn't really keep track of it tbh LOL

Hi Jim
I have a chunk of Horse Chestnut (It fell on my brothers car) not sure how it will work, but I will be giving it a go this week.
Also found a big clump of Oyster mushroom on the same tree....every cloud has a silver lining:D

Hey Tony be honest dunno if it will work or not have never seen a horse chestnut tree before. I have heard sweet chestnut is good for carving though good luck take some pics love to see your work

Just a bit of an update come Sunday or Monday I think I will start shaping the outside with my hatchet. As of right now she holds just shy of a half a cups worth
