I was planning to post up some pics (as requested by a couple of folk here and over at bcuk) before christmas, but I ran out of time. When I say ran out of time, I literally photographed the things, wrapped them and jumped in the car to drive to my old folks in essex!
Anyhoo, here is what I gve the family this year :)

some close ups for those who may be interested...
For my young nieces, spoons (birch) and a cup and ball toy (ash).

For sister No.2 a pair of but crackers and corkscrews for the brother in laws.

For sister No.1 a large chestnut roaster (left it as a flattish bottom and solid so they can fry food in it too ;) ) and a long toasting fork for my parents.

For my mother a kitchen knife. 9" blade (4mm thick at handle, 2mm near tip, 0.5mm edge before sharpening) of CS80CrV2 and a handle of oak. Sorry no photo pre-tape, I was in a rush!

And for my old dad, a pair of secateurs :) EN45 steel. The spring was taken from a scrap yard pair, figured it would save me a bunch of stress to just buy a spring rather than make one!

I think they were all well received, I know my parents were happy (but then they have to be happy with whatever their kids make for them  ).
