Aftermath..

Thought I would post these few photos just to show the result of the recent storms here in the South. Nothing compared with the damage further North but the winds swept through my area of woodland and left their mark. I was out for 5 days prior to the storms and took some photos and I've just returned after 4 nights out and thought I'd show the "before and after" photos..:)

The bonus was I could see the moon lighting the woodland floor each night now the trees are bare, and I checked the fallen trees and I'm glad to say none of the Tawny Owls have lost their favourite nest trees. ..:)

Quite a difference with the leaf cover gone. As Ben says though, the force of nature is amazing and those trees will swiftly recover.
