Sharpening stones

Popped into TK Maxx this morning and spotted some sharpening gear, these stones look okay for the price, I have my own sharpening gear but just a heads up...

also there were three flat diamond sharpeners about 6"x2" in a pack, similar to the block diamond sharpeners that were in B&Q.

I've tried just about everything for sharpening and have recently started using fine 'women's' emery boards. They get a smooth razor's edge if you use them carefully:zombie-fighting:

Might try that one. Easy to stick into a survival kit.

You could put a folder in one of the pockets too. :)

The diamond ones were like these but I'm sure they were cheaper.

Japanese water stones I have a Bester 700x and 1000x, King 1000x, 4000x, and 8000x.

Man, I have so many options to sharpen, by hand, by electricity (two 1"x30" belt grinders, grits from 50x to 2000x, plus a leather belt for them), ceramic rods, my stones and diamond this that and the other. Just bought the Lansky axe sharpening puck, is ok, says it's an oil stone, can't stand oil stones in any shape or fashion, never had good experiences with them, so I'll just use the puck dry (tried it already, works ok) and with water at some point. Really should blow the $50 for the GB puck stone, likely much better material, and it's water useable.
