just finished the Bowie knife i wanted to build ,blade is land rover leaf spring , handle is kitchen work top [butcher block type ] with road sings washers [the blue and black]. with antler and brass pummel ,and brass finger guard, brass was all from old ornaments .. Going to start the stitch and glue canoe in a bit ,looking forward to that also finished another wood burner [gas bottle type].will post pix as soon as thanx hope you like.. my thanx to Chris 3591

A bridie is what we FEBs call a scotch pie. They don't call 'em that up there.

Around Glasgow they called them Bridies....the ones in the pic that is.....usually deep fried:confused2:

ah the pie and square slice [other names ,pehi and lorn] .Bridies are a crescent shaped pastry with mince and onion , its just the pie that's deep fried ,and a culinary delight it is, [also known as a coronary supper ]lol not to be missed .The deep fried Mars bar is the one to stay clear o . thanx
