Was on a bit of a whittling frenzy last night, chilling out in the office listening to Satish Kumar I made some of the following:

(You can click on the images to enlarge them)

Net Needle & 2" Gauge
3724

And a couple of funky forks, one of the left isn't finished yet, also burnt a pattern into my Bullroarer (which you can see in the background)...

Oh and I've applied a lick of Tung oil to everything but the one largest fork which is unfinished at the mo and is the whitest out of the bunch.

Like what you've done in the last pic... Positioning the scar over the twig, made me do a double take! :)

Like what you've done there. So is the net making next on the list then?

Excellent work ash.

I've been meaning to have a bash at carving a spork so I think you have inspired me to pull my finger out.

Very nice, i have dont have much luck at carving a fork as nearly always break the prongs.Try using a swiss army knife saw and a small knife to make life easy - and mind the pink bits!

Like what you've done in the last pic... Positioning the scar over the twig, made me do a double take! That's cool! I honestly never noticed that until you just said :)

Like what you've done there. So is the net making next on the list then? You bet! :o I've made a couple of nets before but not practiced net-making for a few years now and will no doubt feel like a complete beginner again when I try it :)

Ade.Glad to hear it! - Make sure you share your whittling ;)

Thanks for all the compliments guys, it's a continual learning process whittling and an enjoyable one at that! I still see really elegant spoon designs about that I can't quite pull off - I haven't got a artist'eye but when I get whittling sometimes I wish I did!
