Well have my new hawk and I am liking this thing a lot. Using it a bit on some carving today. Gonna be doing the usual mods to it already lost the set screw and sanded the handle. Handle mod so far I am carving my initials of J and C in ancient Celtic lettering this is a pencil drawing of it so far I do have it started as far as the carving goes need to clean it up a bit with my dremel I have some other mods in store for it but that will be in the works as a future post and a surprise to :D yeah I know I'm evil that way lol

Nice, still gotta get myself one at some point, more as a thrower than something useful (have my GB SFA for useful). ;)
Looking forward to your progress pics!

It is actually a pretty good cutter once you get a decent edge on it dang thing is pretty close to dull lol

As expected among Cold Steel products.......... I still want one though, as a project. I have the CS Kukri machete, useless in stock form, after beveling a decent edge on it and making it better, is still a big chunk of fancy 'Meh'! Ok for light work such as grass, but past that.........

Pretty much works good for me tried it earlier today for roughing out a spoon and worked great didn't get tired from swinging it like with my hatchet lol
Yeah one thing I'll say is even by hand it's [pretty damn easy to get a decent edge on it though may take and hit it with a buddies sander when I get the chance to will make use of his wire wheel to lol
