Whilst clearing an over grown hedge with father in law, we found a fair bit of Briar wood. Is it any use for anything besides making pipes?. Seems a waste to just burn it. Any ideas guys.

The roots make really good handle materials for knives/tools and obviously pipes. Plus its not cheap to buy.

38253824Leve it about a year to dry out. Then cut it into 11/2x5 by just over a1/4 strips and if there good looking wood they'll be worth about a £5 for two strips.I gave £8 for my ambros maple scales
