Night visitor

I had a visit from the Vixen again last night. She has a den under the brambles in the corner of the boatyard and at low tide hunts the river bank and around the pontoons. With the hard weather I occasionally leave scraps out for her. Never in the same place and not on a regular basis as I realise feeding her like a pet dog would be wrong. I just wish she wold wipe her feet when she comes aboard...There was a thin sheet of ice over the mud of the low tide river bed this morning, so even the waders will be hungry until the flood of salt water melts it.
