New spoon

I saw a picture of a US GI spoon I am carving my take on it including the ridge detail once I get the chisels for it also going to carve out the hole and the US o the handle as well. Wood is beech just doing the rough out work today have not started with the spoon knife yet. so far only tools I have used are my hawk my hand saw had to cut a piece off the branch LOL and my Opi 7

Looking good BB and the work shop looks a great place too.I'v just finished a cup and spoon as soon as i get the cup oiled I'll post some pitchers the spoon i darkend with coffee no milk,both made from the same log,again great work shopT^

Did a little bit more on it. Found my old xacto gouge in a bow of old model building crap I had just messing around with it till I get my custom gouges in shown with the weapons of choice :D LOL

Just an update I'm not really liking the idea of any carving detail chisel wise so the handle for the most part will be smooth. Once sanded I may do some kind of Kolorising work on it not sure yet

Nice one mate,does need a bit of decoration on the handle though,just my personal opinion. Agree with tony,nice workshop ! T^

thinking bout it may do a bit of kolorising just not sure on the design as of yet lol thanks though
