Hey fellow people of the bushcrafting variety i am planning to get a DD travel hammock and what size tarp to i need should i get a 2 x 2 basha or a 3x3 tarp?

I use a Fox lightweight basha which is a compromise between the two... 3x2 meters.

Though I'm planning on getting a DD XL for a bit more coverage from driving rain.

I've slept under the DD 3 x 3 tarp in some truly foul weather all year round and I've never got wet yet. It's large enough to give you protection but small enough to fit between the trees. :)

I've got 2 British army basha's which I believe is 2.8 x 2.2? - 1 does me fine, used it a few times over summer, though will be getting used this weekend in conjunction with the other as its due to rain. When used with a DD hammock it tends to be a bit close for comfort in regards to the ends. If the tarp was 1m longer it would be ideal. So this time I'am going to overlap them and effectively extend it by a meter or so, never tried it before so we'll see! however one's DPM and one's desert lol .
