Hi all, I am pretty new to bushcraft n brand new to this forum, so s'up!! First post, so apologies if this is a commonly known n therefore useless piece of info. I recently made a Billy can put of a coffee jar n was looking for a handle for it, along with a stand for it for over my pop can meths stove. Had an old lampshade lying around and discovered that stripping the fabric off it provides a load of wire a bit tougher than a coathanger which works brilliantly as a handle, but also that cutting the central bit that fits over the lampholder provides an excellent wee pot stand, with a nice wee stand and a central hole to allow the flame to directly heat the Billy/ pot/ whatever you use. On top of that, the old plasticy material works as a wind sheild once its cut down a tad. All fits inside my Billy can with my stove, fuel and cup into my snugpak. Works wonders!
