Last saturday 6:55 am. I was just reaching the peak of the slope and came into view of the old crossroad. Because of the heavy snowfall no one was using the roads, which meant I had a large amount of well built footpaths to use. I stopped at the crossroads and dusted off snow from a rustic bench. I got out my hexi stove and boiled some milk in my mug for a cocoa. A heavy downfall of snow then started to plummet down forcing me to quickly close my bag. I added the cocoa powder and sat back and enjoyed my hot drink. The church bell struck seven down in the valley and then the wolves started baying in the distance at the local zoo. One at first and then the whole pack, piped up, triggered I guess by the bell. I sat back enjoying the time trip to what things must of been like hundreds of years ago. The unsightly tarmac covered by snow making the experence even more realistic. Magical.

Very nice

Sitting back with your eyes closed you could have been in winter Yellowstone listening to the resident pack.
