Sneaking about the woods is a risky enough endeavour. If you do it whilst wearing a pleated skirt with pockets, a nice man might come and find you, give you a jacket with straps, take you to a soft padded hidey hole and make you eat jelly.

There was a chap at the Cornwall RV wearing a kilt. We were divided over the practicality of such garb in the woods.

Well the scots wore them for years and no complaints, it only get bad reviews by MACHO men, history is littered with men in such garb and most of those were warriors T^

"But wait, i did think the tin of vaseline was part of ya firelighting kit " Still in high summer could wear a mankini under the kilt along with a standard boot n gaiter, gets too warm just whip the kilt off.

Some people prefer to envelop themselves completely within a tent, others enjoy the feeling of being open to the elements and opt for a tarp. Neither is more right or more wrong. It is just a matter of personal preference.

I have no issues with men who wear kilts, I just think this particular kilt looks rather silly.

I bet you can squeal like a pig. Weeeeeeee!

The video was originally made as an April fools joke, but sparked serious interest so 5.11 have planned to try a limited series production of the kilts. Personally I think the "tactical kilt" looks a bit daft, especially the molle sopran; but there is no accounting for taste afterall that is why they make assorted biscuts.

As a Scotsman who owns a kilt, I am going to say a few words on wearing them. Firstly they are ridiculously warm, and when you sweat they get itchy, I mean really itchy. Secondly, have you seen the price, my one cost a cool £350 so I'm not dragging that into the woods. Thirdly I have girly legs

As you can tell, it's not good on me (the one on the right) lol
