I tried my hand at carving a spoon at the RV and really enjoyed it. So much so that I've acquired a Mora 511, which was the knife I used at the RV, for the majority of the carving and now I'm just looking for a crook/spoon knife to carve out the bowl(s).
I used a Mora 162 knife at the RV and following the principle of 'go with what you know' set about getting one.

But, while hunting for the best price online, I noticed Mora also do a 164 knife as well, which has a slightly different blade.

I was wondering if one of the more adept wood carvers on the forum, would indulge my ignorance, explain the difference between the two blades for me and offer an opinion as to whether I could get by with one or t'other of the these knives or whether I should just stop being tight fisted and just get both knives.
Many thanks,
Colin
