Am I being an utter girl!?
I tried all over yesterday to get a chinagraph pencil. No luck.
Even Wickes hadn't heard of them. Am I asking for the impossible?
I can't believe I will have to mail order a chinagraph pencil.

Can anyone think of a regular 'in-every-town' shop (in the UK) where I can get one?

Cheers.

Some of the office supply type people have them (but not really an in-every-town shop). Army surplus (I know, I know not an in-every-town shop :-) ) I'm afraid Methinks it'll be the in-every-town shop called T'internet, with it's local corner shop of Amazon.

If you can't find in shops if you have any mates of mates in the fire brigade they use them on the BA Status boards

Have you tried B&Q? They may have them.

Staff at my local B&Q would get confused if you asked for a normal pencil

That.
I tried in Wickes, and they hadn't heard of them. B&Q and Homebase are a little more commercial so if the staff at Wickes hadn't heard of them then the staff in B&Q/Homebase don't stand a chance. Bet they know all about iphone apps and the different flavours of Monster. Bloody vapid morons.
Now I'm just getting old and grumpy.
Anyway.
I've ordered a pack of mixed colour chinagraph pens off the interwebatron.
