Found a nice little bargain today in Wilkinson's (UK store)

Look like a camp fire folding grill stand to you ?. Actually, it's a plate drying rack but it's got to be a dead ringer for a folding grill.

It is made from heavy gauge steel rod around 3 or 4 mm dia: and chrome plated. It is VERY robust and it folds flat.

It measures 6 inches high off the ground and is 11 inches square approx and weighs 730 grams.

It cost £2.50 and that wasn't in a sale, that's normal price...!

Might be worth a look. OK. maybe it's not the type of grill you'd take on a day out as it's too heavy duty, but for Moots, multi-day or group camps etc it would be a useful bit of kit for the money.

Paul.

Fantastic, I'd love one ( or two ) of those, pity there are no Wilkinsons in Northern Ireland.

Edit, just checked their website and they deliver to here, thanks for the heads up.

...it's a lot cheaper than the Coughlan's folding grill that I, er, coughed up eight quid for a while back.

Those are awesome Paul, I went down to the local store yesterday and bought two. Would have bought more but they only had two in stock!

If they don't, there's still the Coughlans Pack Grill (http://www.backpackinglight.co.uk/product498.asp?PageID=118). More expensive, but hey, pretty well made as mine's had a right battering.

...and, of course. I made a leather pouch for mine. :)

Wow, superb! Thanks for the heads'up on this :) I was bought a folding-grill as a present for about a tena I think, I too have purchased the same grill for a friend as a present again for a tena, so this is a lot cheaper option
