New commission

Last night got an email from a friend off a non bush craft site anyways she was looking at a bowl I did for someone a while back. So I picked up a new commission. Here is the start of it so far.

Did some more shaping on the outer bowl and a bit more inner bowl carving think I got as deep as I want it now

Thanks Mate

Getting closer to done. This will be a decorative bowl I am leaving it a tooled finish when done up. Got as thin as I want it outside now just gotta bring down the inner bottom of the bowl. Should be done in a couple more days.

Couple other projects. the spoon and bowl blank under this bowl is a future project when I get my adze both that spoon and bowl are a gift for a friend of mine

There was a small horizontal slit that had formed on the upper edge of the bowl didn't wanna glue this piece so turning more to a piece of sculpture now. The client I am doing it for loves the way it is turning out to

Thanks Mate. Yeah think she's probably gonna use it for something like that. Not going completely smooth either on this one

Well decided she is finished gave the first good soaking of oil today

Left the outside roughly hewed for the most part took some of the chunky parts off but left a lot of axe work on it, the inside is smooth for the most part with a few knife marks
