Dead impressed with this; @MleighMallory (https://twitter.com/#!/MleighMallory) on Twitter just shared a live webcam feed of a badgers set, he tweeted to let folk know that 4 badgers were out eating I've just been watching them for a good while and the cool thing is it even has live sound! I've enjoyed hearing the female tawny & other birds calling as the sun went down and the badgers came out, take a look:
At time of writing there is still 2 badgers out and about eating :)

Thanks Ash great link - just got back in and at the moment three dirty big rats were visiting the holes and feeding but still interesting - wouldn't have thought they would sit at the entrance to a badger sett eating away but hey nature does that - reminds you that it doesn't conform to any preconceptions. Had thought about borrowing one of those types of camera and setting similar thing at a sett near me - will look more into this.
Slightly spurred on by a fox cub playing 'chicken' (excuse the bad pun) with my vehicle for about 2 minutes on the road home hal an hour ago. Nice viewing.

Just had a quick look, obviously wrong time of day.
Will be checking back later, Badgers facinate me, they always appear like a relic from a byegone era.

They are amazing. Right, decision made - I seem to remember where there are badger sets in Delamere forest so I'm going to have a night there tomorrow and see what I shall see.

Aye I need to get out and see if I can get a couple of snaps of Badgers round about here.
Havent been out that way in a fair while so no idea if the sett is still there or not.

hello,
I'm involved with Badger protection at the moment in my area. Got a Badger set nearby
see them now & again when it's quiet, they're away from the Badger Earth which is deep in
the woods. There are a few Badger sets around here over a greater area,
1 Badger recently knocked down left at the roadside, at least who ever it was had the
decency to lift it onto the verge myself & Traffic Police arranged for it to be removed
by the relevant authority.
I was involved a number of years ago in watching/protecting a Badger set.
Thanks for sharing the link.
Regards
David

They will be soon, especially here in the South West :(
