Black walnut cook spoon

Did this one in just under an hour start to finish only three tools my Mora robust 162 and my Fulton didn't take any shots during wasn't to sure how it was going to carve but the robust did beautifully

This was from a neighbors yard tree lost some branches during a storm this past winter so they told me I could take what I wanted. Still more of it there didn't take it first batch I tried carved like crap though it was still green then tried this bunch and it carved like a dream. I usually get the wood given to me from landscaping friends or I find it or like this people know I carve where I live and they give it to me LOL :D

I like the feel of the Robust in the hand. The thicker blade compared to other Moras is also a confidence builder. Hate the color of the handle. Wish they would do the robust, with the handle from the 711 :-)

And lovely spoon, and nice wood. I have to start gathering some spoon wood and start drying it for the dark of winter...
