Hi folks

I think that I posted this some time ago but I can't find it, so here it is again.

I would like to buy an adze head odd somebody please. I've had a look on "the bay" but I'd rather give my money to someone here

So have you got or could you make an adze head for me.

All the best

Ade

what sort of adze are you looking for? I've got a bowl carving one almost finished, about 500g (ish?) and I plan to make a few more lighter blades next week (by blades, they are a kinda half socketed thing that works as an adze or a gouge)

I'm after a smallish one for gouging bowls, fruit troughs etc.

Have you got a pic and a price mate?

Ade.

I've got a head like this one for £70 head only, or £110 all finished

Or I can make something like this one (not got any ready, but will be making some soon anyway) £45 head only or £80 all finished.

Hi Ade,

Have you tried the likes of oldschooltools.co.uk and oldtools.co.uk they tend to have in vintage classics like Brades and Gilpin edged tools, with a little love you can end up with a quality item, that has character and history. I got my Brades Criterion from oldschooltools for about £12, fitted an new handle and did a lot of work putting a new edge on it. but it is the mutts do dah's now, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Mike

P.s. we need to organise another meet up at some point.
