Is it worth it?
Why not just use the original solid wire/metal handle? :)

Is it worth it?
Why not just use the original solid wire/metal handle? :)That is a good question!

The idea behind it is that it makes your handle a little more versatile; for example, if you use your billycan with a variety of different pot-hangers, a solid handle might not be as suitable, if you take a look at the image below:
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/26/40100263_7e857b8540.jpg
You can see the billycan handle above is a solid, rigid handle and in that particular setup could very easily slip to one-side tilting the billy and spilling the contents onto the fire.

Whereas a break-cable handle would move & bend to fit the wood and wouldn't slip about so easily. It's also smaller in your pack & weighs less :p if your into loosing a few grams for ultra-light backpacking!

Oh and there is an article I wrote on how I converted my billycan handles here: http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/kit/reviews/billy-can-mod-making-a-handle-using-brake-cable.html

Upload your photo somewhere on the web (there are free services that will let you upload your photos online like: http://picasaweb.google.com/ and http://www.flickr.com/ ). Once your image is hosted online somewhere see if you can Copy the image URL or path. Then when you are making a post on here click the little http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/forum/images/editor/insertimage.png icon and paste in your image's URL, press ok and it should appear :)

No it won't become an avatar, if you want to add a avatar you do that by going into your Forum Settings (top right corner)
