I found this how to on JonnyP and Janies website Hedgecombers (http://hedgecombers.com/tutorials/how-to-poach-the-perfect-egg/)

It really works! I've just had the best two poachers I ever did eat!

Not as nice lookin as the first one, but I ate that before thinking of getting a pic, but here is No.2. Twas ansum :D

That looks the dogs whatsits Phil, I like them with plenty of black pepper on and a grilled tom on the side. Paul

phil/Jonny, stop it! Iv'e eaten 6 poachers since you posted this,went to the farm shop and got some real fresh eggs(still warm) and you are dead right..............it works!!

just ate poached eggs, will treat myself to some warm ones rather than use oldest first

But that explains why some come out better than others, cheers

by poached wasn't sure which way this was going, saw a pigeon on friday evening hiding from me on the nest. I let it be and came back with an empty bag did make me think though

the other issue we have is squirrels, I don't kill anything I won't eat but I am starting to worry about all of the hazel nuts. the squirrels eat like machines an elephant in tree would make less noise
