Yup, had to get it out of my head and see what it looks like on paper, I see many uses for this style (including an ulu), 3/16" O-1 steel, kept it contained in a 2" x 12" box so I can get three out of a 36" length of stock. Thoughts before I fire up the jigsaw?

Looks massive, but it's not really...

It reminds me of one I designed and did quite a while ago.

The recurve is piggin nightmare to sharpen.

Would love to see you bring your design to life buddy.

Ade.

Ya, it does, doesn't it? Hard to try to design a kukri style knife that doesn't have a large bend to it, with an axe type weight forward swell to it. Lol

I've my belt sander to put a good edge on, and just use ceramic rods to hone. I can see it being a pain for someone with a bench stone though, shear the edges right off the stone!

Very nice. Sort of like a marriage between a Nessmuk and a roachbelly/trapper. I like it a lot T^

Cool, thanks Jakob. Early tip I had lower to try to get a more kukri look to it, didn't look right and also noticed the point was below the centerline, so I erased and used the centerline of the handle (instead of the centerline of the box) and brought the tip up with a better rounder belly. Now I look at it and I see the CS Kukri machete blade shape! Lol

A friend suggested I call this the "Alpha Wolf"........ kinda suits it, can also call it the '1TO'

I didn't know you were on the Face-invader...I just "liked" STKR Knives.
Great stuff, Mike! The more I look down your page, the more I'm thinking I'm going to have to order one when my next bonus comes around.

Later!
