View Full Version : Pimp my Tarp.
5291
My tarp configuration whilst on my travels to Dartmoor last week. I found the skull near the Barritor Reservoir and fitted my tarp pole beautifully. The solar panel proved to be invaluable for charging my mobile!
Does anyone else have any non-essential kit adorning their tarps if on a long(er) trip?

We once pimped our natural shelter with the remains of tea, I don't know if that counts...

Is that a 4m Tarp you have there Ken?
Also what solar kit you using?
It's a 3m tarp, and it's a 7watt solar panel with USB and various adapters included. I bought it from Maplin's - (can't find it on their website).
What is the deal with camping at Barritor? I fancy a canoe camping trip there later in the year.
Are there wardens and are they there all year round?
Are you allowed to canoe on the reservoir?
What make of Tarp are you using?
You cannot canoe on Barritor. It's a beautiful place. It's a DD Hammocks 3x3m tarp.
Thanks Ken
Shame about canoeing on the reservoir:confused2: it looks like the perfect place to have a paddle and camp out under the stars.

Nice one Ken, good to see the tarp used as a ground dwelling option. Was this used with a bivvy bag or groundsheet?
Hi Jus,
I used a bivvy bag.
