Was on a walk today and out the blue I spotted this lovely fella!

No not today because I knew I wouldn't use it anytime soon, was also a bit worried about the ivy looking stuff the tree was covered in!

Just pull the ivy away from it and make sure the tree that the cotw is growing from isn't poisonous like yew. If its the first time eating it, just try a small amount, as some people cannot tolerate it too well.

It wasn't a yew it was on a big oak, had it before and it tasted great fried! 😃 thanks for the advice I was worried the ivy would make it poisonous!

Great find Danny and well done for exercising some caution. As Johnny quite rightly said, you wont come to any harm just because the Ivy has grown over it.
